Privacy policy

This page describes the information StatHolidays handles, the reasons for it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.

What we do not collect

You cannot create an account on StatHolidays, and there is no newsletter, comment section or contact form. We never ask for your name, email address or other personal details, and nothing on the site sends that kind of information to us.

Calculator inputs and server logs

Our calculators carry your inputs in the page address. If you ask how many working days fall between two dates, for example, those dates become part of the URL. We use them to work out the answer.

Like almost every website, our server keeps standard access logs. Each entry records the address requested, your IP address, your browser's user agent and the time. We keep these logs only to operate the site and to look into misuse, hold them for a limited time, and then delete them.

Our own page counting

To see which pages are useful, we keep a simple first-party count of page views. It runs on our own server, sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not follow you from one visit or one site to the next. It produces totals per page, not a record of any individual.

Google Analytics (optional)

With your permission, we may also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find the site and which pages they read. It is set up to report overall traffic patterns rather than to build profiles of individual visitors, and IP addresses are anonymised.

We use Google's consent mode. Before any Google tag loads, analytics and advertising storage are set to denied, and they stay that way unless you choose to accept. If you decline, or simply close or ignore the notice, no analytics or advertising cookies are written and Google Analytics does not measure your visit. Every calendar and calculator works the same either way; nothing is held back until you consent.

Advertising and Google AdSense

StatHolidays is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, Google among them, use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this website and to other websites.

Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to choose ads for you based on your visits to this site and elsewhere on the internet. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other participating vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and you are free to say no. Saying no does not limit what you can use on the site: ads will still appear, but they will not be personalised.

Advertising vendors handle the information they collect under their own privacy policies. We cannot see or control the cookies they set.

How your choice is remembered

So that we do not ask you on every visit, your consent decision is saved in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. If you clear your browser data for this site, the saved choice is removed and the notice will appear again, which is also the way to change a decision you made earlier.

Your options

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies at any time. The calendars and calculators do not depend on cookies, so they will keep working normally.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over personal data held about you, such as the right to receive a copy or to have it erased. Since we hold no account data, any such request will in practice relate to server log entries. Email hello@statholidays.com and tell us what you would like us to do.

Children

StatHolidays is intended for adults planning work and business schedules. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Updates to this policy

If we make a significant change to how we handle information, we will update this page to reflect it. By continuing to use the site after an update, you accept the revised policy.

Any questions about privacy can be sent to hello@statholidays.com.
